Offense
The quarterback position will see a battle between transfers Hauss Henjy (Oklahoma State) and K’saan Farrar (UConn). Henjy is a former 4-star recruit, who is a dangerous runner. Farrar also is a good runner and has a strong arm. This will be a fun battle to watch.
The running back room is very transfer heavy. The additions of Mel Brown (UConn), Durell Robinson (Auburn), Oliver Lundberg Coleman (UConn), and Malichi Greaves (UConn) are brig. Brown is an electric runner with next level speed. Robinson had his best season in 2024 at UConn. He has good vision and burst.
The wide receiver room returns some experience in Tommy Maher and Lavon Brown. The additions of Terrence Smith Jr. (UConn), Jackson Harper (UConn), RJ Vick (Wake Forest), Jordan Mosley (Mississippi State), and tight ends Juice Vereen (UConn) and Dominic Toy (UConn), among others, are massive.
The offensive line room returns some experience in Phillip Ocon, John Holthaus, Braden Hales, Berlin Lillard, and Zach Smith (all sophomores). The additions of Quinton Harris (TCU), Diego Rodriguez (UConn), Payton Stewart (Michigan State), Toriyan Johnson (UConn), and Jayden Tuia (Oregon State) are massive.
Defense
The defensive line room returns some experience in Mukendi Wa-Kalonji, Jack Moran, Gabe Jones, and Alton Tarber IV. The additions of Robby Harrison (Western Kentucky), Brnadon Kelley (UConn), Taveon Robinson (JUCO), Stephon Wright (UConn), and Cleto Chol (UConn) are massive.
The linebacker room returns experience in Kenyon Agurs and Jaseim Mitchell. The additions of Nykobi Brown (UConn), Caleb Otlewski (Montana), Marc Pretto (Northern Illinois), Antarron Turner (Wisconsin), Khamani Potts (D2 Grand Valley State), true freshman Jaylen King, and Oumar Diomande (UConn) are massive. Diomande could be the centerpiece of this defense.
The secondary returns experience in CJ Blocker, Dylan Phelps, Jace Bellah, and AJ Noland. The additions of Caleb Presley (San Jose State), Tre’Shawn Moore (West Georgia), Elijah Mc-Cantos (App State), and Richard Mosley III (Stonehill) are massive for this unit.
Specialists
This unit will look brand new. Kicker Kali Nguma transfers in from North Texas, while punter Cavan Craig transfers in from Wofford. UConn transfers Mel Brown and Terrence Smith Jr. could be electric return men.

Final Analysis
This program has underachieved for far too long. Jim Mora steps in after back-to-back nine-win seasons at UConn, and three bowl game appearances in four seasons. The hope is he can do the same in Fort Collins. With over 60 new players, the Rams are a bit of an unknown, but the attention to detail will be apparent from Day 1 under Jim Mora.
