The FCS football season continues to deliver its fair share of surprises. This season has been marked by unexpected twists and turns, and our newest rankings are no exception.
This past weekend, our Top 10 from last week took a couple of hits. No. 2 North Dakota State was upset by South Dakota 24-19, while William & Mary and Holy Cross both lost their matches this past weekend.
South Dakota State continues to solidify their position as the top team in the FCS as they defeated #11 North Dakota 42-21.
The MVFC and Big Sky Conference continue to impress, with six teams each in the FCS Top 25. In contrast, the SoCon and CAA each have three representatives, while the UAC, Patriot, SWAC, Ivy League, Southland, Big South-OVC, and MEAC are each represented by a single team.
Voters award 25 points for a 1st place vote all the way down to 1 point for a 25th place vote.
